My vehicle was repossessed 3 days ago. on the same day that it was repo'd, I paid off the loan to the finance company in full. They have sent the release form to the recovery agent what has my vehicle. They will not release the vehicle until i make an appointment but everytime i try to make an appointment, I am told that they are booked for the day. I try to call back the next day and after reaching voice mail several times and leaving a message with no response, i finallly reach a live person only to be told the same thing that there are no available appointments. Each day that I am not allowed to retrieve my vehicle adds an additional $35 storage fee. Not to mention that I am missing work because this is my only means of transportation. it seems to me as if this company is intentionally extorting money from me daily by refusing to let me get my property.. My question is this: What chance would I have in suing this company? I feel as though they are holding my property illegally ( they have been sent the release forms from the finance company several times) and they are charging me for storage fees when the vehicle is being stored there against my will. They aren't allowing me to pick it up yet they charge me
