I got into a car accident the other day, I was stopped at a red light in front a drive to a gas station, and a large truck pulled out of the gas station, hitting the side of my car, doing at least 8 thousand dollars worth of damage. It was just body damage, nothing wrong with the way it drove or the wheel. No injuries. He gave his insurance, I gave mine, the police took the report. Today when we called his insurance company, they said that he had cancelled his policy a month ago (he had told me during the accident that he had just purchased his truck 2 months ago). We called the police and told them about this and they said they could suspend his lisense and impound his truck. I really feel like more should happen, my car was also brand new and I just cannot understand why he would give us false insurance information. What more actions can be taken?
