Here in michigan there is a "woodward Dream" Cruise 3rd saturday in august every year.

Court date BTW was not till like october 2009

millions of people attend and i went down there and some friends jumped in my jeep.

fastest speed you can move is around 5mph since there is tons of cars and people.
while driving my manual Jeep wrangler i blipped throttle a couple times because i recently installed a new clutch and was trying to slip it and it stuck more than i thought.

Did not know my buddy was standing up in backseat while we were going under 5mph. but he was holding on the the rollbar and did not move or anything. Other trucks and cars people stand out of all the time during this one day event.

cop pulled me over and issued me a carless driving. His supervisor was going off on me about it and everything. finally the cop came up to me and was like "if you show up in court i will take care of this ticket and get rid of points since your record is clean"

In court he failed to do so im assuming because he supervisor was there and he wanted to make himself look good. Decided he would be "nice" and drop it to 2 points 6-10mph over.

After months after and i just graduated college my parents bring attention to me that insurance went up due to 2 points on my record 600.00 a year.

what can i do about this now?

im going furious with college loans at like 20,000.00
and not being able to get a job with this economy. im going crazy thinking about this. The fine was okay... i mean like 225.00 but the points are killing me..

You might be able to take a defensive driving course and reduce your points but it hardly makes sense to do it with only 2 points. The best thing to have done would have been to fight it or to plead nolo if it is available in your State. Nolo pleas generally carry the same fine but no points.

I was going to do another trial but they said if he doesnt change his mind i would then be stuck with 3 points and carless driving instead of 2 points and 6-10 over.

This frustrates me because of what i was told in person and what was actually done in court :(

id have no problem taking a class
