we got caught yesterday store name. i stole a bracelet of $55 and my cousin a pair of earrings but they were a set but she got one pair the whole thing was $60. we are both 16. this is our first time.
they brought us to their office, we both gave our names, addresses, home #, and checked our bags and i had all the receipts. except for a shirt worth of $50 from other store name, i made a hole where the censor was, and i told them lies, i said i was going to exchange it, forgot my receipt and the zipper made a hole. they said to bring the receipt so they will give it back. then they called our aunt to pick us up and she gave her id and made a copy or it. therefore, we both will be receiving the letter soon with a fine or not, they were not sure either. so my question is, are we both in the record? how much would i be paying? also, what happen if i dont go back for the shirt? would i be paying fine for that too? they said that if i dont have it they going to return it to the store, but i am not sure about this. this was in california.
