So today i was caught shoplifting (yes i know it was wrong and i will never do it again) but i got a ticket to report to court and idk what to do i really don't wanna go to jail or community service i'm 19 years old and i'm scared out of my mind i don't know what to do i'm a student in school and i was in the county of Los Angeles? (not where i live) but yeah i just wanted to know what my consequences were going to be and what is going to happen in court

Its not aboout what is going to happen in court but what you can do to get something that fits your needs. Start calling Attorneys (many offer free consultations) when you meet with them ask about Diversion as option. By the way community service is almost a given
