I was caught shoplifiting at a deatil store when i was walking out i was stop by a security gaurd. He too me in a office and told me to empty my pockets. I did so he said he didnt want to call the cops because i was being good. He told me they would would sue me but i would have to pay a fine for up to $150 when it comes in the mail. I'm 18 by the way and i really scared to have this on my recod because i want to go to the air force when graduate High School. When i pay the civil demand will everything be over? Can they still take to court even though the cops weren't called? They only took down my information and didnt make me sign any documents. he only told me i was banned for a year. So without me signing anything can i still go to court?
