Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Caught Shoplifting but Nothing Yet

I was caught shoplifting 3 dvd's at my work last thursday. I know it was stupid, and I've never done anything illegal before. I just wanted to give my family something for christmas, but now I get to tell them I lost my job instead.
Well, my boss pulled me into his office and took the dvd's and told me to go home and come back Monday. He said I would have to talk to loss prevention and sign some papers for my termination, and that they would probably investigate. He also said that if I didn't come back, I would be in more trouble and everything would become embarrassing for me.

Since there was not an arrest, should I go back tomorrow, Monday, and sign the papers or not go back there again????

What do you think that refusing to go back will accomplish?

Not Sure. The only thing I was thinking that if I'm not on the store property, I cannot be arrested. However, If I don't show up again, they could file against me and put a warrent out for my arrest. If I do go back, they would be less punishment on my case from those prosecuting because of my coperation.

If anyone wants to arrest you, you don't have to be on store property for it to happen. The cops can go to your home as easily as the store. Sounds as if you're much better off going back.

You cant win! Not going back will likely result in warrant for your arrest. Its possible your employer may not seek criminal changes. Not showing up could damamge that.

Thanks Guys and Gals I thought more about it last night and decided to go back and face the music. Thanks for all your input and advice.
