I was caught shoplifting yesterday at a store with my boyfriend. We walked out of the store and police and loss prevention guy came up to us and pulled us back in. I took $50 worth of stuff and my boyfriend attempted to take the security plastic bar off something but that didnt work. I am 16 and my boyfriend was 17 but was turning 18 the day after. Police were called, we had our photos taken, fingerprints, and got cited. Police said we were going to get mail saying the day we have to go to court. This was our first time getting caught shoplifting and we are both 3.5 gpa and up students with a bright future. We were just being stupid this one time. Will they let us off easy?
