Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft caught shoplifting under 10 dollars now im so scared

so i recently went to wildwood, nj and stole a 5 dollar belt and 2.99 bracelet. I realized i was soo stupid. i now have a court date and have no idea what i should be looking at? ... i have never stolen before or got in troublee im hearing so many diffrent thing like i could go to jail or they could stop me from going back to college. -_- i am soo scared because i am a very good student and college is my life. any information will be helpful!

Jail is very unlikely. However your big concern should be having a criminal record once this is over. Start calling Attorneys many offer free consultations. Get as many as you can. Ask them about diversion or similar programs as plea option
