Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Caught Shoplifting

I'm a 19 year old male that lives in Missouri and this was my first offense. I was caught shoplifting under $8 of merchandise (two keychains) at a mall. I have already paid the civil demands of $256.78. Today I just received a document asking for me to appear in court on the 7th of next month. The punishment is up to $1000 in fines and/or up to 90 day in jail. I am prepared to take my punishment for my stupidity. I'm just on here asking if anyone has any advise for me.

Is there a possibility of me being able to get a diversion? Due to the fact is was my first offense.
