I pay $455 a month child support for my son..I had lost my job and with this new one I make $500 less a month. My ex wife bought a house and lives with her boyfriend who helps support her....She makes less money now too due to being laid off and is on Unemployment. She is taking internet college classes and if she finds a job it has to work around those classes.I am taking bankruptsy and have gotten rid of my credit card debt(from my marriage)Gave back my motorcycle, sold my home for what I owed on it. And am now saving $500 a month in a savings account but thats all I can save...not enought to live in an apartment...I have to live with my parents. My only bills are my car payment, insurance, and cell phone along with child support....And I am not making it.
Should I try to get my support reduced or wait until if she decides to work again?....she really doesnt have to work because of her boyfriend

Her boyfriend has nothing to do with this. If you have had an income reduction then apply for a CS reduction but mom having less income may come into play too. What state are you in?

But you really should google state guidelines and make sure mom cannot get an increase because she was laid off too it appears.

I live in Kentucky....I only mentioned her boyfriend because I didnt want to seem like a jerk trying to get away with paying less. She is really not interested in working again..Why if she doesnt have to

well depending on state guidelines a full time job at what she is capable of earning should be calculated.
