I got a ticket for speeding and I called my insurance company. They say go traffic school or change court so there a chance the cop won't show up. Since San Bernardino, CA is a big county, I can change court near where I live. The ticket has Victorville Court, CA and I want to have my court near home like Upland or Ontario, CA. I been reading up on the "California Rule of Court" Rule 4.152. Selection of court and trial judge. What is the procedure? Do I ask the clerk? Or its not worth it?

Sounds like they gave you lousy advice, but, hey, I thought OJ was guilty.

So get a change of venue and see if that works.

The rule you cited was for changing venue - that means, to change to a court outside of San Bernardino County ... and THAT ain't gonna happen on a traffic matter.

Here is a link to that county's courts:

You will have to contact the clerk of the court and ask about changing the court to one closer to where you live. Reading through their rules of court, this is not an automatic and unless you have a very compelling reason, I doubt the court is going to inconvenience the officer for your benefit.

oh well, yea the clerk didnt by it. So I'm going to go court and hope the cop dont show or else I'll plea gulity and request traffic school. So its still win-win situation, but a huge fine to pay. I want my record clean.
