Thank everyone in advance for any help on this issue. I recently sat with a leasing agent and was quoted 684 a month on a small one bedroom apartment, 1/2 off the deposit if i returned the application and paid the fund within the week. I did pay the $115 application fee and the $100 (1/2 deposit) within 4 days. I paid in money orders and still have the receipts; however, I was called later and told I was approved but because I have no prior rental history I need to pay the full deposit, another $100. That was fine, but then the lad asked me what she quoted me. I told her the 684 and she said that is what she thought but her manager said I didn't lease in time to get that special and the rent would be $709. Can they change the amount of rent after accepting my app. under what i consider false pretense? Thanks for any words of wisdom.
