changing your name

I am wondering if it is possible to legally change my last name to what will be my married name before I get married so that my new married name will be on my passport instead of having to pay for another new passport after our honeymoon.

Depends where you are, but the answer will probably be "yes". You can usually change your name to just about anything, for just about any reason. Contact your local department of vital statistics, driver's license bureau, or similar and they will be able to give you guidance on what you need to do to change your name.
