My girlfriend and I were at a friends house to have him call someone about getting our tablet and phone fixed. Ten minutes after we went in the police kicked in the door with a search warrant. They put us all in cuffs and had us sit on the couch while they searched the house. One of them took everyone's phones and began searching through them. My friend told the cops all the drugs they find was his. I told them why we were there and asked if we was being charged with anything being that we had nothing on us and they said they didn't know. They took us all to the police station and one by one asked us questions. As soon as they started with me I asked what my charges was being that they had us at the police station for about 3 hours and he said he'd tell everyone at the same time the charges. I said I wanted to talk with a lawyer and my girlfriend said the same. After a couple more hours of setting in the holding cell I asked them again what are my charges and they said they'd tell us all later. A couple hours after that another cop pulls us into the holding cell cuffs us and takes us to jail. When we get handed over to the jailor he hands the jailor our police reports and that's when we all found out our charges my friend got manufacturing meth for the stuff in his vehicle along with the same charges we all got trafficking two grams or more of meth possession of a meth precursor and drug paraphernalia. Me and my girlfriend had nothing on us at all they charged us with everything they found in the room we was all in when they kicked in the door. It was his house and his drugs

You need to get a lawyer & speak only to him/her. Plead not guilty to any charges.

No kidding.....................

You do not have your own phone??

This was not the best choice of friends. You weren't trying to sell/trade those items, were you? It's odd that both a tablet and a phone would take a dump on you at the same time and not be covered under warranty or old enough to be upgraded on the cheap (if they have a regular service).

But, I'm skeptical ... I've heard that exact same line more than a few times myself! It must be among the top ten claims in the tweakers handbook somewhere after, "These aren't my pants," and, "my friend with no name borrowed my car so I don't know how that got there."

My friend told the cops all the drugs they find was his.
Nice of him to say ... but, the police are not bound by his sacrifice. I would've asked, "Great, tell us where YOUR drugs are right now?"

I told them why we were there and asked if we was being charged with anything being that we had nothing on us and they said they didn't know. They took us all to the police station and one by one asked us questions.
If they transported you to the station, then you were arguably under arrest for something. They cannot generally transport you against your will simply for a detention. Did you agree to be given a lift to the station? Were you still in cuffs when transported?

When we get handed over to the jailor he hands the jailor our police reports and that's when we all found out our charges my friend got manufacturing meth for the stuff in his vehicle along with the same charges we all got trafficking two grams or more of meth possession of a meth precursor and drug paraphernalia. It could be that the police had you connected to prior transactions.

Understand that if the police had a warrant, they weren't simply randomly booting the door in. They likely had good intel and some controlled buys into the residence. It might be that your name(s) had come up as being associated with the operation in some way. Even if associated in a tangential support mode can get you charged with the primary offense.

At this point, speak only to an attorney and not even to each other about the allegations. Since you are not married, no privilege exists and either of you can potentially be convinced to testify against the other. It would also be best to consult separate legal counsel because your mutual interests may diverge from one another rather than run parallel.

It may not be coincidence that the police arrived with the warrant right after you got there. It may have been planned that way.

Some people are so gullible, aren't they?

My oh my, the games people play!!!!

All tne drugs were found all over his house. I was over there because he said he could get my phone fixed for cheap I geuss a tweaker he knew. I asked the cops to look at his phone because he called the guy when I got there and right after he got off the phone they kixked in rhe door. I don't use meth.

The problem with having friends that live on the nefarious side of the law is that you can get caught up in their problems. You know the saying about laying with sleeping dogs then catching fleas ...

At this point, listen to your attorney and don't talk to anyone about the incident. If you're lucky, you may be grilled as a witness as opposed to a suspect, but that will depend on what the state has to hold over you and what they can prove against you (if anything).
