I have a PO against my ex husband due to his violent and delusional abuse. We currently have joint custody of our 2 boys, with him having Custodial Custody. however, the boys have been living with me for 11 months. I haven't the financial means to have the Custody changed at the moment, especially since he does not pay child support. He recently filed a motion to have the PO dissolved and the day before the hearing he had visitation with our 9 year old, he never returned him home to me & never took him to school. At the hearing he consulted with the GAL I had appointed and told him that if I agreed to dissolve the PO or make modifications, he would return our son to me. The GAL hadn't a clue what to do. I asked for a continuance and am currently lost and scared for my son. I am scared, and have no financial resources. I informed the GAL that I wanted to make this matter known to the judge and he convinced me not to, saying that she wouldn't care about the rest of this and that it would make me look bad as if my emotional state was disgusting. Please for the love of God, I need some help! This has to be illegal! He's using my son as leverage to get to me.
