i want to move out of my state ,but ex husband say no he,ll get the court to ground me here till she of age .can he do that ? im willing to do a custody agreement thats fair on both of us ,but he wont budge ,shes 10 and wants to move as well.

If there is no current order restricting you from moving you can move. If Dad seeks order to keep you from moving then you will have those restrictions. If you move before such an order is set then Dad cannot likely force you to return but may be able to have foot the bill for travel expenses for visits. You can also expect Dads visits to be longer in duration

you can move anywhere you want but you need court permission before your daughter can go with you. if the judge says no he can give dad custody and you can move. your daughter has no say in the matter untill shes 18.
