If A Child Support Case Has Been Inactive For 16 Yrs, And Now That The Child Is 20 Yrs Old, The Case Has Become Reopened. Can A Person Fight This? this is hard to explain. My boyfriend got married, his wife got pregant, he went into the army to support his wife and child. he got stationed in germany, wife refused to go to germany. devorced him while he was oversea fighting in dessert storm. They collected child support for 5 yrs while he was in the service. when he was discharged, he came home looking for his son. the son was no where to be found. he tried paying child support to the attorney general, they sent his checks back to him. she has moved and did not persue child child, because then she would of had to allow contact with the child. now the child is 20 yrs old, his a wife and child and he came looking for his father. they are trying to have a relationship. but now 16 yrs later she wants her child support, because is going through a her 6 th devorce and has 2 kids at home to support. which are not my boyfriends.
