Hi I may have a daughter whom Ive never seen,she is almost 17 years old.In 1992 her mother and I went to court on a restraining order issue, at that time her daughter was about 7 moths old. The court records show that I was to have no contact with the baby or her mother.her mother is married and I dont know if he adopted the girl or not I do know that she has his last name. 17 years later she is reqesting child support for a girl I have never seen.I would like to what is legal here. No blood test was ever requested she did deny to the jude that she was my daughter but there was no evidence in the report of that,only witnesses.thankyou.

she can establuish paternity at any time. Whether or not you can be named the legal father this late in the game depends on state law. It sounds like her husband never adopted her otherwise you would have terminated your rights. it is doubtful she can go back more than a couple years though for CS.
