Long story short. Have a 2 yr contract with Cingular and service is absolutely horrible and getting worse. They want $175 to get out of the contract when they have not held up their end with providing adequate service. Everywhere I go I receive no signal or one bar max. Also drop numerous calls periodically. It has had a very negative impact on my life missing important calls etc. Is there anything that I can do? It angers me to have to pay to end a contract where the supplier has not provided proper service.

Hey,

It pays to read a contract fully so you know exactly what you are signing for. There will be a policy in there somewhere that states they have no control over atmospheric conditions and your claim is the category that they will argue.

I truly think mobile phone contracts are a rip off, I am in business and have even moved all phones to pay and go. At least that way I have some control.
