I was involved in a accident with a semi-truck. I was on a 6 lane highway. I turned on my right turn signal looked in my mirrors and proceeded to merge into the right hand lane as I got into the lane I noticed a semi- with trailer coming from the opposite side of the road. I blew my horn,braked and tried to move as far to left of the lane as possible there was no way to get into the left lane due to a Cadillac Escalade being in the left hand lane. The trucker keep come til he knocked off my right side mirror and scatched up my front passenger fender and door. He proceeded to keep driving for several miles over 30mins. later I got him to pull over after I honked waved got in front and slowed down. I called my insurance and gave them the info. Filed a police report the cop citied us both. he wondered why we were in a totally different county then where it happened. He also wrote the wrong date on the citation. My insurance wants a taped conversation of what happened should I do it? I think the deductable will be more than the price for me to fix the damages. What should I do. Do I have to file a claim. I'm going to court to plead not guility, do I have a chance of getting the citation dropped.
