i had a misdemeanor for shoplifting that has been dismissed. i need to know if its ok for me to apply for citizenship. ive consulted with 2 immigration attorneys and they said i have to wait and have another 5 years between me and the conviction..but i forgot to mention to them that if the charge was dismissed would it make any difference? the incident happened a year ago and ive been a green card holder for almost 10 years now.
another thing is..am i able to apply for a green card renewal?
