ok. so i just got my civil claim in the mail and says to pay $150 but never got my court date [this all happened in late june]. I know it says pay within 20 days but i wanted to know is it better to pay this early? [like will this set a good impression of me?] or will they care if i pay like on the 18th day?

thanks for the help.

and i was also wondering is there a difference between civil claim and civil demand? because i recieved a civil claim. and another thing was that i read on a lot of other websites that after i pay the $150 that they will just keep on sending me more fines even though i payed $150. is this true?

This Civil claim and your criminal case have nothing to do with each other unless Judge orders it. Yes its good idea to pay but it should have no impact on your criminal case

Don't waste time on websites that don't know what they are talking about. Once you pay the Civil Demand in full an don time they cannot try to collect more. Just be sure to pay by money order, check or some means you have proof of payment. Be sure to save all letters from the Civil Recovery service and request a rreciept once paid in full. Be sure to mark your payment "paid in full" if your making your last payment or paying it all at once

They do not care if you pay it on the 1st day or the 20th day. They just care that you pay it.

If you are not able to pay the amount in full, contact them well before the 20th day and make arrangements to pay. If you have a checking account, you can have them take half of the amount out before the 20th day and the other amount can usually be postdated to a time where you will have the funds. As long as you make arrangements with them, you will be fine.
