My son daycare graduation day. I had custody of my son this perticular day. His father and his mother, our sons grandmother was also there. I told my son that he could go over to see them but to come back when I told him to. I did call him back and his father told him that he couldn't. I left it alone proceeded to the lunch line with them following myself and my mother. My ex started fighting with me and then he proceeded to take our son from the event. Which he was not supposed to do, it wasn't his time. Anyways, I followed them outside trying to get him to come back in with our son, meanwhile his mother was pushing on me trying to get me to stay away from them so that they could leave. My son was thrown in the car by his father and still his mother was trying to get me to get away from her son's car. She was trying to pull me away one more time and I turned around and was trying to get her to get off of me and she fell on the ground. Anyways, she is suing me for $25K for medical damages, lost wages, and emotional damage....which for one she owns her own business and had employee working when she decided to do this to my son, her grandson! Emotional damage, this family is always emothional and the medical bills, she just received stitches from the ER for her knww. I have been drug into court almost every other month by this family since that horrific day. I had to fire my attorney and I started fighting for myself and so far have done a pretty good job. But I am in need of some advice because I can't afford an attorney for this case either. I need to know for now what I absolutley have to do?? I have a settlement conf. and then a 2 day juried trial. I do have witnesses lined up. I just need to know what paper work I need and maybe any other help that I might need.........Thank you so much for any help that I can get.
