I resonded to a on-line classified ad for a washer and dryer for $1 as posted.. upon arriving to pick up the items, was informed, after we had loaded 1 of 2 items, that I owed the person $500.. when the post said $1. What can I do about this, it's misleading, and disconcerting.
The headline of the text was "Maytag washer and dryer $1"
When i asked her why she had posted it online for $1, she said it was to get people to look at her ad, but no where else in her ad did it say she wanted any other amount for the appliances. She then proceeded to be mildly unpleasent.
We brought the washer back into the house and placed it back into the utility room. and left.
Occured in Boulder County, Colorado.
