Closing keeps being postponed.....

My husband and I have been trying to sell our house to these buyers, and the closing has been postponed about 3 or 4 times due to the buyer's lender needing more info from the buyers. We finally signed an amendment a couple of weeks ago stating the closing would finally happen on July 22nd. Well, we are still waiting. Can they do this forever?

Sure, as long as you're willing to keep agreeing to these amendments to the closing date.

The last amendment we signed for was July 22nd. Now what can we do?

Tell them they failed to close by the closing date,as amended, and the contract is terminated. If there is a deposit and the contract allows you to keep it, keep it.

Do you not have a lawyer or real estate agent? You should be asking them these questions.
