Co-Defendant in Wife's Lawsuit

My wife and I are going through a divorce. When we separated she apparently borrowed $300 from a friend to move back to her mom's. Her friend that she borrowed from is now suing her for the $300 and listed me as a Co-Defendant. The first I even heard of the situation was when the summons papers arrived in the mail. Is there any thing I can do to be taken off the case or do I need to show up and appeal to the judge to be dismissed?

I suggest you read up on the courts rules online, call the court for any guidance they will will provide and file a motion to dismiss you from the suit as you are not party to the action.
