Co-signer held hostage

Person A co-signs on a car loan for Person B, both are named on the title.

Person B stops making payments on the loan and Person A is now making the payments. Person B refuses to sign over the title to the car.

Person A is now stuck making payments on a car that can't be sold.

What options does Person A have?

Take them to court. Small Claims. Tell the judge what is going on and you should be good. Might be a little expensive but hopefully everything is true than they will have to pay court cost and you can get rid of the car. Even if you have to pay some cost it is better than paying on a car you cant even drive.
