Cobra rights

I was laid off in summer and applied for cobra. Never received any paperwork but told I was covered and sent new insurance card and doctor visit covered. Employer told me to pay them premiums for 2 months within 1 hour or they would cancel my cobra retro back 2 months which they did. Now my Carefirst in telling me I am due to pay what they previously agreed to pay. I tried to get previous employer to give me info on where to pay and how much but they were unruly and uncooperative and canceled my policy out of spite. Is there anything I can do? Thanks

I can't make heads or tails out of your story but if you believe your COBRA rights were violated, contact the US DOL, which is the regulatory agency for COBRA.
