Hi! I have aprox. $1,600 owed to me for work done for a franchise company (Service Master). I need help in making sure I file correctly in small claims court.The company shows the only office they have as a 'branch' in East stroudsburg Pa., with a parent company in Manhattan Ny. Whatever this Parent company is, work from them was never out of the poconos(this is their district). Can you please help me? Thanks, Bob

i don't know the specifics but in small claims court there is usually the requirement that the defendant reside in the county of suit. Who did you work for? If it was for the sub in PA, the parent in NY is of no concern to you.
