I received a phone call from a doctors office inquiring about our office cleaning service they requested a free estimate I then made an appointment to give them there estimate in writing of which 2 weeks later I received a phone call accepting my bid. we started to clean the office 10/01/08 we completed the month and we sent out our invoices of which was 500.00 per week total 2000,00 for the month I then get a phone call from the person who hired us that she thought it was 500.00 per month not per week I then faxed to her a copy of the estimate which clearly states in 2 places 500.00 per week she then told me the doctor would never pay this fee and has never paid more then 500.00 per month for cleaning and would give us 500.00 for the month not one penny more, I donot have a signed contract with them only verbal do I have any chance of collecting this fee if I go to small claims court.

Perhaps; although you don't have a signed contract with them, you do have a copy of your estimate which you provided to them in writing prior to starting the work.

Haven't a clue; it depends on the judge.

However, most of these cases are handled in Small Claims Court which does not require that you hire an attorney. Filing for Small Claims isn't very costly so really, what have you got to lose?....except $1500 if you don't file.
