I would like to move out of CA, since I haven't been able to find work over a year now, and I am on the verge of getting evicted. Can I move to another state, but collect my CA Unemployment since the state I want to move to has family I can live with, and the unemployment in CA is now at 12.1%, and the other state is lower. What do I do so that I will not mess up receiving what I need to get at this time until I find permanent work?:)

How long have you been collecting UI? Are you eligible for extensions at all?

Generally speaking, you can still collect if you move, as long as you are otherwise eligible.

I am still collecting and on my 2nd extension and its good until 8/10/2010. So if I do move to CO; then I notifiy of my address change and to why I had to move?
