I have an account with a collection agency that I have been trying to make payments with, however due to the fact that I am unemployed right now they are small ($50 every three weeks ... I still owe $600 total). This company calls me at least four times a day and I feel as though I am being harrassed. Is this practice illegal? Can I take any legal reprocussions against them? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes, the link provided regarding the FTC's site on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is a good one. The harassment is not justified although you will eventually have to deal with the debt. You may wish to make sure to write to them and use a certified method to confirm the writing.
