I currently work for a collections agency and I've been noticing that some of theother collectors have been using leagal talk offs which i know is completely illegal. Not only does management not do anything about it but I've also seen and heard managers doing the same thing. My question is who do I go to to get this stopped and how much can i do myself to get it stopped.

Talk to the compliance officer of the agency. They are responsible for assuring that all state and federal laws are being followed.
I would suggest changing jobs to a different agency. As a debt collector, you can be held personably liable for any violations you commit. Sounds like you are a honest debt collector, but all it takes is an allegation, and you might end up in court. Not so far fetched if you consider the possibility of someone else taking your call in and doing an illegal t/o, and all the sue happy people out there today.
