I've been with my spouse (husband) for 31 years. Recently he became ill and I have been caring for him. His adult daughter whom has had little contact with him has stepped into the picture, taken him from my home in NY to her home in PA and to see a doctor that is now is now doing procedures he's already had. She said there is nothing I can say or do because we are not married. I feel after 31 years we are more married then ceremony married couples. We have lived together for 30 years. Do I have any rights over his care? PLEASE HELP.

Neither NY or PA are common law states. Unless he has signed a POA giving you the right to make decisions for him, you have no rights.

That is correct. NY does not recognize common law so you have no rights right now. You might want to see an attorney.

I'm afraid both answers are correct. I personally would sue for guardianship of your "significant other." Given your long history I would be surprised if a Judge would not appoint you as his guardian giving you legal rights.
