I work at a facility were many of the staff are in alcohol or drug recovery, some of them felons. There is this one individual who is in recovery and is also a felon who has been acting as supervisor in the event of a supervisor's absence for the past 5 months. Within these 5 months, this employee has used coercion to get employees to do or perform the way that he want them to do. Not to sound bias but coming from someone that has been in jail for assault (mostly against women) approaching me in a hostile manner is intimidating. The problem is multiple complaints have been made about this employee to management and HR without any change. Just this morning I had this employee pull me outside and curse at me while posturing towards me. At what point is the company liable for further and worse incidents?
