Hi everyone!
Can a inmate serving 2 years for a possession of a gun by felon in MI, who now has a warrant for violation of probation in PA; serve time concurrently? Writ of Habeas Corpus? Post conviction relief motion? What if anything can be done so that he can serve his PA time in conjunction with time being served in MI? Thank you

You need to speak with an attorney.

It can be done, but is hard to accomplish.

Michigan is bankrupt.
Pennsylvania is headed that way.

The issue of cost will be discussed.

Michigan will want money to do what you wish.

PA won't be willing to pay.

Speak with an attorney.

I'd give this a 20% chance at happening.

Thank you. The issue is that PA may want to extradite him for probation violation. Although you are correct when it comes to money. I know MI just extradited that serial stabber from Georgia (I believe) and that cost them $18K, something MI surely does not have. What we would be asking is that he can serve his time from PA, whatever that may be-concurrent with the time that he is already sentenced to in Michigan, killing 2 birds with one stone. His attorney is actually the one that suggested it prior to the warrant becoming active.
Thank you to everyone for your response(s) and help
