Im not sure if im in the right forum for this question, im sorry if i'm not. Here's my situation.
My fiance and I are young, we have a 9 mth old and are living on our own.
We've been in our apartment now for almost a year.
However, we fell behind on our rent for a mth and a half and needed assistance as to not be evicted. The whole time this situation was kept to myself, my fiance, and my cousin only because she works in the managment office of our apartment.
While in the process of receiving temporary assistance, my best friend came to me and told me that her sister in law "L" went to her and told her that she bumped into my cousins sister and that she told her that "i spend my money on luxuries and cannot afford to pay my rent" now after hearing this i got extremely uspet thinking that my cousin that works for my apartments landlord went and was discussing my situation with the rest of my family behind my back, i emailed her and her sister pretty much telling them off for spreading something that i wanted to keep to myself due to embarrasment. after emailing them, i told my mother and mother in law what was going on which was not what i wanted to do. After emailing them, my cousins sister told me that she did bump into "L" but she did not mention anything to her about my rent issue because she had NO IDEA about it!
Now on the day that my temporary assistance was approved and i was to pick up my check i happened to see "L" walking around behind the counter. I was not aware that she was working there in the Dept. Of social services.
After apologizing to my cousin for assuming that she was spreading my business around, she mentioned that she heard this was not the first time she hears of "L" discussing confidential information from her job.
What actions can i take to ensure that this does not continue to occur with "L".
