Hello, My boyfriend was was pulled over with a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. My pill bottle which contained my prescribed medication in it (concerta) was confisctated by the police, probably because I had one vicodin in the bottle. Is there anyway possible way I can get my medication back, or will I be in trouble for having that one vicodin? I need my medication for school.

Thank You

It was prob confiscated because the prescription was not his and he had other illegal drugs. If there is no prescription for the vicodin then yes that could be trouble since it is a controled substance. I saw a guy in court in virginia actually get 30 days in jail for having 3 oxy pills. I dont know what priors he had but they are really starting to get tough on prescription meds due to its abuse.

And do you have a prescription also for the vicodin? Why was it in the concerta bottle?

If you contact the agency that confiscated the medicine and explain the situation then you can probably get them to release the meds to you... you will just have to show and and present an ID that matches the label on the bottle. Itis very possible the one Vicodin pill could go unnoticed... and if they make an issue of it you simply have to deny any knowledge of it. They can remove the one offending pill and give you the rest.
Call them and ask to speak with the sergeant on duty... or someone responsible for their evidence room if there is a particular person in charge.
