Confused in NC

I have a court date with a Judge for allegedly not slowing down/getting over for an emergency vehicle on the side of the road. I'm pleading not guilty due to a few different circumstances. I have never had a ticket before. My question is if the Judge offers me a PJC will I have to pay the fine & court cost or just the court cost?

PJC = Prayer for Judgement Continued, sort of the NC version of a deferred sentance.

Gemini, ask the court clerk about how/when to ask for the PJC. You will pay fines and court costs in any event for a conviction.
