Confused On What Actions To Take

my aunt that i have lived withall my life passed away oct 2008 when i was away at basic training for the coast guards. I returned home for a week to take part in the funeral and help organized like my aunt had asked me to do before i left for basic. but when i returned my family didt contact me or include me in anything to do with my aunts funeral. Now its been a couple of months and i know that my aunt had an insurance policy and that she told me that if she did pass she had money for me to go to school .my family has been spending the money and has not told me anything ab what my aunt instructed to them the night that she died...is there some way i can find out what my aunt left for me
