I was working at a store and did a return without a recepit. I keep it and went and spent it. Well the found out and called me in and i told them the truth. They said that i had to do was sign a promisary not to pay it back and that was it. I quit then and there, they said i was just suspended and i dont have to quit that i could still posibly work there. They just need to review my case with hr. They want me to go back in on monday so i can pick up my check. Can they still arriest me when i go in? Or would they have already done it if they wanted to do that.

Yes, they can still call the police and have you arrested. Chances are they're NOT going to do that or they already would have. But, I'd be very surprised if you kept your job.
