Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Confused

Hi I am currently 18 and I live in NY, and I was arrested about a year ago for petty larceny. I believe I was convicted because I was found guilty however I was never brought to jail.. I appeared in court with a court appointed attorney later and received an ACD with something like 40 hours of community service. Like I said that was about a year ago but I still have some questions. Am I a YO? Do I have to say that I was arrested or convicted when applying for a job? Ian not to familiar with law/criminal law so I need some help- please and thank you!

More than likely you were placed in some sort of alternative sentence program.

If you completed everything your were ordered to do, this MIGHT have been wiped clean.

But, we don't know,because there are many possibilities.

Does your son have a lawyer? He/she should be able to answer any questions you might have & give you/your son a good idea of what to expect at court.
