My aunt had a conservator. At that hearing, the judge made the conservator take a bond of $85,000 on her estate (there was already discrepencies in the amount the family said she had, what the lawyer said, and what the conservator said, and the judge ruled the amount for the bond to be $85K) Now, my aunt has passed and the conservator's report on the estate shows this: "Charges: $47,000 Receipts during account period: $15,000 Total Charges: $62,000. Credits : $25,000 Property on hand and end of period:$37,000 Total Credits: $62,000." So, what is the actual amount that she had??? What is the difference between "Charge" and "Credit"? And what about the bond amount of $85,000?? We thought that basically guaranteed the amount of her estate at $85,000 and from that figure the conservator would need to prove where money went. Is this not the case? In one other section it reads" Bond if sufficient" and asks to exonerate her. What does this mean? this is all in Calif. and I am out of state. Seems something is fishy- is it not? If so I need to contest this. How do I response the court (what form should I used, where do I send it, etc)
