my boyfriend and i were arrested for constributing to the delinquency of a minor in s.c. A family friends kid was at my home and without me or him knowing she stole my alcohol and must have drank it when she was at the pool at our apartments because later the cops showed up saying the minor was drunk and that we gave it to her. we were released on bail and court is jan 14 but i learned from the soliciter that they have no way to contact the minor or her mother because they moved and changed their number. can they still sentence us? they told me that it was her word against ours. and the only evidence they have is the open bottle of alcohol in my home. is this enough to prosecute us? thank you for your time.
