I have a contigency fee with my lawer. He is not communicating with me very much on the case and I really do not know were I stand. I asked him for a break down of his time involved in my case to make a decision of seeking new council and he stated he does not have to give me breakdown. Is this true?

New Counsel is your decision but he is absolutely right about not having to give you a breakdown. You aren't paying for his time you are getting his representation for free and if he is successful he profits. Believe me he is doing what he can to get you an offer, but you often get what you pay for.

Switching attorneys will likely get you more of the same if you are not going to pay for one. Good luck, be patient.
