I saw a lawyer to start divorce proceedings. I signed a Contract of Employment for Legal Representation. No money has been paid to the lawyer. If I decide not to file for divorce at this time am I still legally bound to the contract?

Depends what the contract says. In all probability, you are bound by the terms of the contract, but you are free to terminate it at any time. So if you hired the lawyer to start divorce proceedings, and they commenced drafting documents etc. on your behalf, you can terminate the contract now, and they are entitled to be paid for the work they've done so far.
