IRecentLy Bought A Car From A Local Dealer In SC, I Put Fifty Percent Of ThePrice Down And The Dealer Had Someone Finance TheRest,, This WasContingent On Six ReferencEs And Proof Of ResidenceWhich I Provided To The Dealership At That Time. ISigned All Of The Paperwork Including TheFinanceContract With No Problem AndLeft With My New Car. Now The Dealer Says They Don't HaveThe Proof Of Residence Copy. And Says That They Can't GetThe FundingDone Without This, I Let Them Know That I Would Bring It By In The Next DayOr So. Now The Dealer Is Calling Me Constantly, And Sent A Text That Says It Is In My Best Interest To Call Them Now. Keep In Mind This Hadn't Been But One Week Since I Bought It. What Can They Do To Me Is My Question

They could contact the police. They could contact the lender. The loan could get revoked. You could end up being charged with CRIMES. The police can do many things. First they'd investigate you. They'd uncover, if you have any, sordid little secrets. Make your life easy, give them the things you agreed to give them. If you lied on your loan application, hire yourself a good criminal defense attorney. Or, return their car.
