can i get the cops in trouble for leaving a message on my voicemail saying i did something when i did not and can prove i did not or do i have to sue them

they said i stoled something and i did not was not even in the county when it happened was about 4 hous away and the cop said she knows i did it but i was at a hospitol some where else

Then if you are charged with a crime, you would have a great defense. If you wish, perhaps you can get proof of your hospital stay and provide it to the police so they stop looking at you as a suspect.

And, no, you can't get them in trouble for leaving a voicemail accusing you of the crime. If the conduct was rude or unprofessional, you can call the agency and make a complaint.

i have a voicemail where a cop said they know i did something and i waas 4 hours from where this happened at a hospitol where i had to show my id and get a pass with my piture so i can prove i was not there when it happened what can i do

You can present that proof to the investigating officer.
