This past weekend we were in Fort Myers, Fl for my daughters' college graduation. The morning of the graduation I noticed that my car had been stolen from the hotel parking lot. It was parked in front of the building under a light. The car was recovered before I even knew it was gone, but was undriveable due to ignition damage. I had to pay $238 to the towing company that recovered it and another $115 to AAA to cover the cost of the tow back to Ft. Lauderdale that was over their 100 mile limit. I also have a $250 deductible from the insurance company. I'm still waiting for the body shop to get the approval from my insurance company for the repairs.

Would I be able to get the hotel to reimburse me for the out of pocket expenses I incurred because of the theft?

Why would the hotel reimburse you if your car was stolen from their parking lot? Do they have a security guard? Do they take possession of your car? Unless it's a secured lot, I would highly doubt it.
